Details

1. General

These terms and conditions apply to all classes, workshops, and sales offered by Pencil Ceramics Pty Ltd. By participating in our classes, workshops, or purchasing items, you agree to these terms and conditions.

2. Enrollment and Payment

  • Enrollment in classes, workshops, and courses is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot.

  • Payment can be made via credit card, debit card, or PayPal. Payments made via EFT will not secure your spot without a valid proof of payment.

3. Cancellation and Refunds

  • More than 5 Days' Notice: If notice of cancellation is received more than 5 days before the workshop/class/course, the fee will be refunded.

  • Less than 4 Days' Notice: Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received less than 4 business days before the program begins unless that space can be filled. No refund is issued in the event you cancel or do not show up on the start date.

  • Emergency or Illness: In the event of an emergency or illness, you may send an alternative person in your place. Please email us the name and email address of that person. Alternatively, if notice is given and there is a person on a waiting list who can fill your space, a full refund will be given.

  • Weekly Commitment: Classes, courses, and series require a weekly commitment for a number of consecutive weeks. Catch-ups cannot be accommodated for Beginners Course as too much will be missed. Please check dates carefully.

  • Pencil Ceramics Pty Ltd reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop, class, or course due to low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances.

4. Property and Safety

  • We take extra care to ensure the safety of your ceramic pieces, but we cannot guarantee their survival through the firing process due to the inherent risks involved.

  • Any damage or loss during firing is part of the ceramic art process. We will offer you the opportunity to remake any lost pieces during your own time.

  • Marking Workshop Pieces: Workshop pieces must be marked with your initials and individual group number. Pencil Ceramics will not take responsibility for unmarked items.

  • Lead Times for Finished Pieces: Lead times for receiving your finished pieces depend on factors that could be out of our control, such as load shedding and operational factors. Expect six weeks for the pieces to be finalized and available for pickup. We will try our very best to have them done beforehand.

5. Code of Conduct

  • We maintain a respectful and inclusive environment. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

  • Pencil Ceramics Pty Ltd reserves the right to refuse admission or remove anyone from a class, workshop, or event for inappropriate behavior.

6. Sales of Items

  • All sales of ceramic items are final. No refunds or exchanges will be accepted unless the item is defective.

  • Defective items may be returned for a full refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All materials, designs, and content provided in our classes, workshops, and sales are the intellectual property of Pencil Ceramics Pty Ltd.

  • Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of any material is prohibited.
